Douk was amazing! Very knowledgeable, deep experience in hospitality. He really cares about guests having a good time and learning about Greek food and culture. Easy conversationalist. Everything was smooth and relaxed and enjoyable. Got lots of great ideas for the perfect gifts to bring home to friends and family too! Highly recommend.

Julia and her husband George were amazing, warm hosts. As promised in the description you will not be taken for the traditional Moussaka /Souvlaki, which you will anyway get in all restaurants here. Instead you will do tastings of caramel pie, stuffed grape leaves, cured meat, a tour and tasting in a spice shop, olive oil shop, olive, honey, meat and fish market, some really nice meat with bread and then finally a huge cheese plate, drinks and lunch and a dessert. You will certainly be stuffed by then (we couldn't finish lunch!). Julia is also a wonderful story teller, takes great intrest in her guests and makes amazing conversation. I would strongly recommend this tour for the knowledge, amazing food and warm hospitality!

Such a lovely way to sample the culinary delights of Greece while strolling around the center of town with a local who knows every corner of the neighbourhood!

We had such a great time with Douk on our tour. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food and tastings were amazing and my family and I had such a great time! Walking pace was great for slow walkers, as we had some people with mild mobility issues and they had no problems keeping up. Would definitely recommend.

What a great evening spent with Julia and her husband George. We have done walking food tours in other parts of the world but this one was amazing. Not only did Julia grow up in the area of the tour, but she is a true Greek “foodie”! Nobody leaves hungry on the tour, our last stop was a full Greek meal at an authentic Greek restaurant. I can’t wait to get some Greek recipes from Julia, to try when I get back home. If you want to spend a great evening in Athens, you should choose this tour with Julia. Yamas! Mark
